The Rich Content Editor- Insert Audio or Video

The Rich Content Editor is a tool found throughout Canvas for all Canvas users.  This page will cover how to insert audio or video, referred to as Media, through the editor.

 

Upload/Record Media

 

Select the Upload Media option and choose Upload/Record Media.  A window will pop open and display 3 options.

 

Upload from Your Computer

 

If you have a media file already saved to your device, select the Computer option.  Browse to find the file on your device and select it. Then Submit the file.

 

Record Within Canvas

 

1. Select the Record Option.
2. The Mic button will let you choose which microphone you want to use if there is more than one available.
3. The Webcam button lets you choose which camera to use, if more than one is available. It also gives you an option to turn the camera off and only record audio.
4. Select the Start Recording button to begin.  That button will toggle to Stop Recording once recording starts.  
   1. Review your recording once you are complete. You can delete it and start over or save the recording.

 

Embed a Recording

There is an option to embed a recording if you want to.  You will need an iframe embed code in order for this option to work.

 

Select the Embed option. Then paste the iframe embed code in the box and select Submit.
